Carver
Carver’s well-known Steamboat Days celebration takes place the weekend after Labor Day. Each year residents and visitors fill the streets to join in the festivities. Entertainment for the whole family can be found throughout the weekend, which comes to an end with the Steamboat Days Parade.
Hosted by the occasional shops of Carver, with vendors from all over, the Village Open Air Markets in the summer attract many different genres of people to the heart of downtown.
Miles of walking trails along the Minnesota River allow residents and visitors to enjoy picturesque views of nature in Carver.
Chanhassen
Chanhassen offers ample recreation opportunities. With 11 lakes, 5 nature preserves and a 500 acre park system there is something for everyone. There are 70 miles of trails and walk paths for people of all ages. The city hosts many community events in conjunction with the business community including the February Festival, the July 4th Celebration and the December Tree Lighting. The incredible success of these events is a testament to the sense of community found in Chanhassen.
Chaska
Chaska’s historical downtown serves as a venue for commerce as well as community. CitySquarePark is the site of many socials, concerts and events that strengthen the strong community ties within Chaska. The recently expanded community center is an asset to the community offering a gallery, theatre, pool, fitness center, café and a lodge for active older adults. With miles of trails, acres of parks, 2 swimming beaches and a new disc golf course, Chaska will please the most voracious of outdoor enthusiasts.
Victoria
Victoria is a recreational haven. Lions Community Park and Diethelm Park host a multitude of sporting events including softball, baseball, hockey, tennis, basketball, soccer, lacrosse and horseshoe games. Victoria Field House also offers an indoor ice arena, gymnasium and fitness center. For those interested in nature, there's Lowery Nature Center and Carver Park Reserve. And don't miss the U of M Horticulture Research Farm offering 150+ varieties of apples each fall.
